DURATION AND COSTS
Our Yellow Card scissor lift training and assessment takes approximately 6 – 8 hours, depending on experience and class size. Maximum class size for the two available Scissor Lifts at Equip-Safe is up to 10 operators.
$420.00 (+ $25.00 Yellow Card application fee)
Our Yellow Card Scissor Life and Boom Lift under 11 metres training and assessment takes approximately 8 hours.
$480.00 (+ $25.00 Yellow Card application fee)
LOCATION AND FREQUENCY
Yellow Card Scissor Lift courses are scheduled regularly at Equip-Safe’s Perth training venue in Welshpool (corner of Orrong Road and Kewdale Road), or can be conducted on the client’s premises. Equip-Safe is also happy to schedule extra courses for groups if and when required. Equip-Safe have two Scissor Lifts available for training.
Other Yellow Card courses are available on request. Self-drive Boom Lift under 11 metres can be conducted at Equip-Safe’s premises.
Trailer Mount, Truck Mount, and Vertical Lift would need to be done on client’s premises, unless Equip-Safe were to hire the equipment in.
SCISSOR LIFT TRAINING COURSE CONTENT
- Identify hazards and implement controls
- Recognise a hazard
- Hierarchy of hazard controls
- Conduct routine checks
- Check log book and complete entries
- Set up the Scissor Lift
- Pre-start checks
- After-start checks
- Emergency procedures and manual lowering
- Operate Scissor Lift
- Operate in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions
- Manoeuvre in tight areas in forwards and reverse
- Operate Scissor Lift slowly and accurately
- Conduct tasks at height
- Use the push-out deck
- Complete Scissor Lift operations
- Park safely
- Pack up (where applicable)
- Conduct post operation inspection
- Complete fault recording in log book
Boom Lift (under 11 metres) Course Content
- Identify hazards and implement controls
- Recognise a hazard
- Hierarchy of hazard controls
- Conduct routine checks
- Check log book and complete entries
- Set up Self-drive Boom Lift under 11 metres
- Pre-start checks
- After-start checks
- Emergency procedures and manual lowering
- Operate Self-drive Boom Lift under 11 metres
- Operate in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions
- Understand the Load Chart and how to get the maximum height and / or reach from the EWP
- Manoeuvre in tight areas in forwards and reverse
- Operate Self-drive Boom Lift slowly and accurately
- Conduct tasks at height, including driving at height
- Use all functions on the Self-drive Boom Lift under 11 metres
- Complete Self-drive Boom Lift under 11 metres operations
- Park safely
- Pack up (where applicable)
- Conduct post operation inspection
- Complete fault recording in log book
