This Orange Card training provides you with nationally accredited training to operate an elevating work platform (Scissor Lift).

This training consists of the following unit of competency:

Course content

This comprehensive course offers instruction on operating a scissor lift and understanding of the potential risks involved in scissor lift use.

You will learn about:

Checking for hazards and the appropriate control measures;
Set-up, pre-start and post-start inspections;
Emergency response procedures;
Following manufacturer guidelines for safe operation;
Operating in confined areas;
Working at elevated heights;
Parking procedures;
Conducting post-work inspections; and
Maintaining an EWP log book, including logging faults and checking maintenance requirements.

Course requirements

Australian Standards for fall protection equipment requires a maximum operating capacity of 136kgs. Equip-Safe provides fall protection equipment to these standards.
